This project involves the re-design of Conan Gray’s ‘Superache’ vinyl, aiming to create a visually stunning and emotionally resonant package that reflects the themes and aesthetic of the album.
Goal:
The primary goal of this re-design is to enhance the visual appeal and collector’s value of the ‘Superache’ vinyl, by re-design the cover, the sleeve and the disk.
Original look:
Design Concept:
The re-design draws inspiration from the emotional depth and vulnerability of the album’s lyrics. It incorporates a mix of melancholic and vibrant elements to mirror the contrast between heartache and hope, which is already reflected in the original graphic, that’s why I kept the theme of the roses as one of the main aspects.
Content:
- Album Title and Artist Name: Displayed on the cover.
- Tracklist: Stylized and placed on the back cover.
- Lyrics: On the inside part of the cover, so that the viewer can see it as soon as they open the vinyl.
- Imagery: High-quality photographs of Conan Gray, abstract designs, or illustrations that reflect the album’s mood are on the cover and the sleeve.
