This project focuses on the creation of an eye-catching promotional flyer for Casa Balla, the historic home of the renowned Italian artist Giacomo Balla. The flyer aims to attract visitors and art enthusiasts by highlighting the unique features and historical significance of Casa Balla.
Goals of the Flyer:
The primary objective of the flyer is to increase awareness and visitation to Casa Balla by showcasing its artistic and cultural heritage. Give the visitors enough info to partecipate in one of its visits.
Target Audience:
The flyer is designed for art lovers, tourists, students, and educators interested in early 20th-century art, Futurism, and Italian cultural history.
Design Concept:
The flyer incorporates elements of Futurism, reflecting Giacomo Balla’s artistic style. It uses bold colors, dynamic lines, and abstract shapes to capture the essence of Balla’s work, hence why I used one of his works to do the side parts of the flyer.
Textual Elements:
- Headline: “From the house to the universe and back”
- Body Text: Provide an overview of what visitors can expect and a first look into its history.
- Casa Balla offers a unique glimpse into the life and works of Giacomo Balla, one of the pioneers of the Futurist movement. Visitors can explore original artworks, personal artifacts, and the meticulously decorated interiors that reflect Balla’s innovative spirit.
- Visitor Information: Include address, opening hours and ticket prices.
Images and Graphics:
The flyer features high-quality images of Casa Balla’s interiors for a first look about what to expect. It also includes graphical elements inspired by Balla’s geometric and abstract designs.
Layout and Design:
The layout of the flyer is designed to be visually appealing and easy to navigate. It includes sections for an introduction, key highlights, visitor information, and a map. The color scheme is inspired by Balla’s palette, with a mix of vibrant and subdued tones to create a balanced and harmonious look.
